Delete Your Account
Last updated: 28 September 2026
In the app — immediate
- Open Chess Meet and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Asked to sign in again?
That is a security check by the sign-in service. Sign in, then tap Delete account again.
Without the app
Email chessmeet.contact@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account” and your username. We confirm and delete within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and profile (username, picture, status, country) and your email.
- Ratings and rating history, puzzle and opening progress, and your game history.
- Friend requests, friendships and their chats.
- Meet & Play: your date of birth, your last position, your block list and any place suggestion still under review.
- Notification tokens and live status (online, in a game, tournament waiting rooms), and your reserved username, which becomes free again.
What is kept, and why
- Reports and moderation records — safety records: deleting an account must not erase a report made about it. Kept only as long as safety or the law requires.
- Meetups and tournament results you took part in — they are also the other players’ history, under the username you had.
- Online game rooms — removed automatically about 7 days after each game.
- Purchase records — kept for as long as accounting law requires; Google Play keeps its own.
This cannot be undone
A deleted account cannot be restored. A new account starts from zero.
